ACCREDITATION IS REQUIRED FOR HAGUE CONVENTION ADOPTIONS AFTER 4/1/08.

I-600 As filed before 4/1/08 should be "grandfathered" as to requirements for training etc. under the current laws, but may require an accredited agency......
" Good Morning Friends!If you are anywhere in the process of international adoption please visit the website below. This is a list of agencies that have met the deadline and criteria to meet the Hague convention. If your agency is not on the list, you need to find out why. After April 1, 2008 it will be nearly impossible for them to place a child. Unfortunately, there are agencies out there still promising the placement of a child, without a hope of being able to after April 1. I would be heart sick to find out that any of you wasted any precious time or lost money with out bringing home a child. Please be careful, and please do some research.
