Expecting from Guatemala

Welcome to Mari's page. We hope you will enjoy learning about our journey to Guatemala.
Kurt and I are very excited to meet our baby girl, Marissa.
We will try to keep you updated whenever there is news.
Please feel free to send us comments.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

If it seems slow, do not despair,
for these things will surely come to pass.
Just be patient!
They will not be overdue a single day.

Adoption Update

EVERYTHING WENT IN THE MAIL TODAY!!
We mailed all of our paper work to the Consulates for authentication.(this will take 2-3 business days-so they say.)
Mailed the home study to Immigrations (this will take 10-15 business days and then they send our 171-H form-permission to bring 1 foreign born child into the US)
Then everything will be mailed to our agency!!
They have added a new form (Orientation Certificate) that we are not really sure about yet but that is the last thing we will have to worry about.

This is when the waiting begins!! Once everything is mailed back to the agency our Dossier is COMPLETE!
The room is ready and we are very excited to get matched and have pictures of our little miracle!

The Miracle of Adoption
"We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands."
